How to remove yourself from Trellis

Trellis is a site that republishes court records. You can ask it to hide or remove your information for free. It takes a few minutes, then Trellis says it can take up to 4 weeks to act.

Before you start

Find the page about your case on trellis.law and copy its link. If a court sealed or expunged the case, have a copy of the order ready.

Steps

  1. Open the page about you on trellis.law.
  2. At the bottom right of the case page, click Request Redaction. Enter your name and email, say the record is about you, and give your reason. One request per case page.
  3. If a court sealed or expunged the case, upload the order: Trellis needs it to delete the page rather than hide it. Then submit.

Good to know

Trellis hides the page from logged-out visitors and asks search engines not to index it. It never charges for this. A court order sealing the case is needed for full deletion.

This guide isn't legal advice. Your state's court website has official guides to sealing and expungement, and free legal aid can help.
