Our promises

Two things every privacy company should say out loud, and most don't.

No conflicts

A company that helps you get off data broker sites shouldn't be in the data business itself. So, plainly:

  • Simbo owns no data broker or people-search site.
  • We never sell your data, and we take no money from data brokers.
  • No ads, anywhere. Not in our apps, not on this site. We make money one way: people who choose to pay.
  • No investors to answer to. Simbo is founder-owned, so nobody can push us to change these.

If any of this ever changes, we'll say so on this page first, and you can cancel and get your money back for the time you haven't used.

If Simbo ever closes

Apps disappear. Families have lost years of plans and photos when a company shut its servers with no warning. We won't do that to you. If Simbo ever closes or stops an app:

  • At least 90 days' notice, by email and in the app.
  • Your data, in your hands. You can already download everything in your Simbo account from Privacy & my data, and everything you can see in your family's Simbo Pack with Save everything (click your name in Pack). Before any app closes, it will let you save a copy of whatever it keeps.
  • Your money back for any time you've paid for and can't use.

Much of Simbo already works on your own computer. Simbo Scrub looks at your files where they are, Simbo Seek keeps your details in an encrypted vault on your computer, and Simbo Speak checks spelling and grammar on your computer. Your files and your details were never on our servers to begin with.
